This last Sunday was Andrew Hornacek’s last morning with us. He is off to the Air Force this week! Andy joined us in May of 2007 for a two month internship, and decided to stick around and share life with us as a part of our support staff for another year. Andy is a good friend and brother, and we will miss him greatly! Take a few minutes to check out this video from Sunday, and remember to keep Andy in your prayers as he enters this next season of life.

Join us after our Sunday worship gathering (around 12:45 – 1:00) on June 8th for another Emmaus Baptism Celebration. 5 from our community will be declaring their love for Christ through the sacrament of baptism! I’ve been sensing God directing me to invite our community to gather for prayer. There are so many in our church who are experiencing serious health issues and financial challenges.
Everyone is invited to our home on Sunday, May 4. We’ll pray from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Come a little early if you’d like. Kids are welcome. We’ll plan to wrap it up at 8 since it’s a school night.

A special Saturday night worship gathering featuring all-original songs from Emmaus’ new album. Saturday the 29th at 7 p.m.
Today, Emmaus Church Community is announcing the addition of EmmausWorship.org to our family of websites. The site was launched today in preparation for the upcoming release of the new worship album arriving on Easter Sunday (March 23rd). A sneak-preview of two brand new songs from the project are featured on the home page and are available for your listening pleasure, as well as the ability to pre-order the CD at a discounted rate. This 11 track, self-titled release includes all original songs written and produced by the Emmaus community. In addition to the album, Emmaus will be releasing the audio loops/tracks for the songs which will be available to download on the site for use in other churches, youth ministries and gatherings.
In the coming months, find anything and everything related to Emmaus music on the site including news, artist blogs, lyrics, forums, photos and videos from the Emmaus band.
The vision for EmmausWorship.org is to establish an on-line resource and channel for bringing music coming out of the Emmaus community to help inspire our city and those around the globe to align their worship with the life and passion of Jesus Christ. God has inspired us to write and produce fresh tunes that move people toward Him and His Scripture, bringing Christ himself into the center of our worship.
We desire to remain true to the worship patterns and expressions of the Historic Christian Church while capturing the hearts, minds and ears of as many as possible living in this current place and time in history. This site provides us the launching pad to help us reach towards that end.

Yesterday, the story of Emmaus Church Community broke to pastors and congregations around the country as we were featured in GROW Magazine, a denomination publication of the Church of the Nazarene.
I’d encourage everyone who views this post to click the link below and read through the entire story. As I read it last night, I began thanking God for the vision of Emmaus, how He continues to work through us to bring about life and light to the city of Lincoln and also for our pastor himself and each member of his family by name Carmen, Isaiah, Sienna and Nathan for accepting God’s call to lead and serve us. Thank you God!
Easter is early this year, and we have a lot of exciting things in the works! Make sure to mark your calendars for all of the following:
- Good Friday Gathering: Join us on Friday, March 21st at 7:00 at Foskett Ranch Elementary as we go through the Stations of The Cross.
- Easter Sunday (March 23rd) will have two gatherings. The first will meet at 9:00 am, and the second at 11:00 am. Plan on joining us as we celebrate!! Our first worship album is released on Easter, too!
- Family Worship Night: Make sure to bring the family as we celebrate the release of our first self-titled worship album on Saturday, March 29th at 7:00 pm! We will be worshipping, and singing the songs from the new album!
