6 Ways to Connect at Emmaus…

You are welcome in the community at Emmaus, no matter where you are on your spiritual journey. Spiritual growth and authentic “life change” are happening here as all of us share life and discover Jesus together. We encourage you to continue the process of seeking God and surrendering control of your whole life to Him. Here are some practical steps you may consider taking as you continue to discover Jesus:

1. Conversation.

Start a conversation with someone at our Sunday gatherings during “The Peace,” be a friend to have a friend.

2. Coffee.

Have coffee with and get to know an Emmaus staff team member.

Discuss the Emmaus vision, what we’re all about, what we value, don’t value, etc.. It’s a great chance to address questions you may have about Emmaus including any theological, doctrine, leadership, ministry, or philosophy related matter.

3. Community.

Know and be known, visit an Emmaus home group for a season.

There are currently over 10 home groups meeting throughout South Placer County. Please contact us to learn about a home group in a neighborhood near you!

5. Commit.

Are you on-board with Emmaus? Being “on-board” means making and keeping the “Emmaus Rule of Life”:

  • Share Life: I will live in community with Emmaus by joining a home group.
  • Give: I will steward the resources God has provided and will tithe 10% of my income toward the work of His church.
  • Serve: I will serve on an Emmaus ministry or service team that needs my gifts, time and commitment.
  • Pilgrimage: Embrace a personal spiritual discipline or formation experience (ie: retreat).

6. Challenge.

Emmaus is serious about real, authentic transformation!

How serious are you about growing and becoming healthy, serious enough to take the “Get ROOTED Challenge”?

Get ROOTED Challenge”

Submit to an intense twelve week transformational experience involving weekly conversations with one of our ROOTED coaches. God desires to see us “take root below, to bear fruit above” in this way. Here’s what’s involved…

  • You identify and evaluate areas of personal growth.
  • You seek transformation, taking practical steps toward health in each of the following areas – leadership, spiritual, community, organization, and financial.
  • You create and implement an accountability plan that includes your personal and community objectives, goals and tasks for the year.
  • You meet with the coach a few more times during the year to follow up on your commitment to growth and transformation.
